Should I Refinance My Student Loans?

These days, student loans are very common. In fact, student loans have reached the trillions of dollars and 42.3 million people carry a student loan. A recent report from the Federal Reserve Bank of New York showed there were $1.34 trillion in student loans.

NerdWallet reported the average student loan for those graduating with a bachelor’s degree in 2015 had a student loan debt of $30,100. Some student loans (including ours) are much more than this and if you and your spouse both have student loans it may tip the scale to over $100K in student loans that can take more than a decade to repay.

How to Make Your Budget Work When You’re Broke

Being broke sucks. I know, I’ve been there.

Budgeting when your broke might seem impossible, but the truth is, you need it more than ever if you’re short on cash. You literally cannot afford to go without a budget.

If you hate the word budget, turn it around and rename it to a spending plan. You’re going to spend your money (that’s what it’s for), so let’s make a plan to spend it with well thought out intention.

Uber vs. Lyft – Should I Become a Driver? (Make Extra Money Fast!)

Unless you live under a rock, you’ve at least heard of Uber, and maybe also their closest competitor Lyft.

If you’re unfamiliar with Uber or Lyft, these are basically taxi services to give rides in your local area. All the drivers are independent and work their own hours. Simply login to the app provided by Uber or Lyft and start picking up people and giving them a ride.

To give you an overview of what it’s like to be a driver, I had my husband (and behind the scenes partner here at Savvy Savers Academy) Nate answer some questions, as he has driven for both companies.
